The Coca-cola company, America’s multinational beverage corporation in an ad partnership with Twitter is the first company to get its own custom emoji. When Twitter users tweet “#ShareaCoke,” an emoji featuring two of those iconic glass Coke bottles clinking will appear in the post. Using the right hashtag, the image shows up in your Tweets.

Twitter’s Senior Director of Global Brand Strategy Ross Hoffman made mention in a statement to TechCrunch that access to resources and first to market offerings and in this case, a custom emoji is part of their global alignment with Coca-Cola. This was a response to a question of whether or not Coca-Cola has paid for the emoji.

Twitter has been been complaining of not turning the social network into profit and is maximizing every extra opportunity of dollars they could make.

Hoffman also said that Twitter will be looking at metrics like “engagement, sentiment, adoption of the hashtag/emoji and total reach” as it explores the possibility of rolling out branded emojis like this in the future after this test run with Coca-Cola.

The “#ShareaCoke” campaign might set a record for the “World’s Largest Twitter Cheers.

Twitter in the past had introduced custom emoji’s tied to major events like in anticipation of the upcoming Star Wars : Episode VII – The Force Awakens in theatres, 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.
