CNN has named Apple Chief Executive, Tim Cook its 2014 CEO of the year. CNNMoney rankings revealed that The Apple CEO did an “amazing job” at Apple in 2014 noting that AAPL stock is up 40 percent this year – an all time high. CNN also argues Cook did “an amazing job” this year with the successful launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, as well the new Apple Pay feature. The excitement surrounding the Apple Watch’s launch in early 2015 is also cited as a big win for the Apple CEO. In addition, Tim Cook had previously gotten the Financial Times ‘Person of the Year’ award.
These awards come despite the failure of the first release of iOS 8 where the it blocked users from getting cellular network. Also the release of the new OS X Yosemite was plagued with problems while Apple’s iCloud faced a lot of hack attacks which had celebrity nudes posted online. The newly launched iCloud Drive was initially plagued with syncing problems, the new iPad 3 had no major improvements and it has been well over 1022 days since the last official Apple TV update.
