Clicks showcases its first smartphone and keyboard accessory at CES 2026

Clicks Technology is making waves at CES 2026 with the launch of its first-ever smartphone, the Clicks Communicator—a modern-day BlackBerry designed to revive the nostalgia of physical keyboards while embracing modern functionality. Unlike mainstream smartphones that prioritize entertainment and content consumption, the Communicator is built with a singular focus: communication and productivity. Clicks envisions this as your second phone, the one you rely on for work and messaging.

A Throwback Design with Modern Specs

The Communicator draws inspiration from iconic devices like BlackBerry and Palm, but it’s far from outdated. Key features include:

    • Tactile QWERTY keyboard for fast, accurate typing
    • 4-inch OLED display for crisp visuals
    • 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio enthusiasts
    • Expandable microSD storage up to 2TB, ensuring ample space for files
    • Android 16 OS with hardware-level encryption for enhanced security

Despite its minimalist philosophy, Clicks hasn’t skimped on essentials. The Communicator packs a 50MP rear camera and a 24MP front camera, making it capable of high-quality photography when needed. Connectivity options include NFC for Google Pay, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi, while power comes from a 4,000 mAh battery supporting both USB-C and wireless charging.

    Smart Features for Modern Users

Clicks has integrated clever touches to make the Communicator stand out:

    • Fingerprint sensor embedded in the spacebar for secure unlocking
    • Signal LED, a customizable notification light that alerts you to messages from specific contacts or apps

These features blend old-school practicality with modern convenience, appealing to users who crave simplicity without sacrificing security or functionality.

Clicks positions the Communicator as a secondary device, aligning with the growing trend of minimalist or “dumb” phones. Many users are seeking ways to reduce digital overload, escape constant notifications, and regain focus. While some may adopt the Communicator as their primary phone, the concept of carrying two devices—and managing two phone plans—remains a challenge for widespread adoption.

The Communicator is available for pre-order now at $399, with the price increasing to $499 on February 27.

    Clicks Power Keyboard
    Clicks

For those who love tactile typing but don’t want a second phone, Clicks offers the Power Keyboard—a versatile accessory compatible with both iOS and Android. Highlights include:

    • Full QWERTY layout with directional keys and number row
    • MagSafe and Qi2 attachment options
    • 2,150 mAh built-in battery to charge your phone while typing
    • Horizontal and vertical orientation, reminiscent of the classic T-Mobile Sidekick
    • Bluetooth connectivity, making it usable with tablets, smart TVs, and even VR headsets

Pre-orders for the Power Keyboard opened January 2, with an official launch expected in spring 2026. Pricing starts at $110, but early-bird buyers can grab it for $80.
