Claude Gets Smarter: Anthropic Adds Slack, Asana, and Figma Integrations

Anthropic has officially launched a new suite of interactive Claude apps, transforming its AI assistant from a chat-only platform into a powerful workplace productivity hub. With integrations for tools such as Slack, Asana, Figma, Canva, Box, and Clay, Claude can now perform real actions inside these applications, enabling users to collaborate, design, and manage projects without leaving the AI interface.

The new features mark a significant evolution for Claude, which has primarily been used for answering questions, generating text, and providing guidance. With the addition of workplace apps, users can now draft Slack messages, update Asana project boards, tweak Figma designs, and even organize files in cloud storage directly within Claude. This approach reduces the need to switch between multiple platforms and creates a centralized workspace where AI assists with execution, not just recommendations.

These integrations rely on Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that allows third-party applications and AI models to communicate seamlessly. MCP ensures that commands issued to Claude can interact safely and effectively with other apps, preserving data integrity while expanding functionality. This system allows Claude to process complex requests, such as creating collaborative documents or sending automated updates, making it a versatile tool for teams and enterprises.

Currently, the interactive Claude apps are available to Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers, with plans to expand availability in the future. Anthropic has also announced upcoming integrations with Salesforce, signaling a continued push toward embedding Claude deeper into professional workflows. The ability to connect an AI assistant to a broad range of applications positions Claude as more than a messaging or research tool. It is fast becoming a command center for workplace productivity.

Instead of requiring users to copy and paste information across tools or manually execute tasks, AI assistants like Claude can now complete them autonomously, increasing efficiency and reducing friction in professional workflows. For companies, this means smoother project management, faster collaboration, and a new way to harness AI in day-to-day operations.

The update also highlights Anthropic’s emphasis on practical, enterprise-ready AI applications. By integrating tools widely used in professional settings, Claude is positioned to appeal not only to individual users but also to businesses seeking more efficient digital collaboration. As remote and hybrid work models continue to dominate, AI assistants that can bridge multiple platforms and automate routine tasks are increasingly valuable.

Overall, by connecting Claude to Slack, Asana, Figma, and other key applications, the company is turning a conversational assistant into a central hub for professional collaboration. This expansion demonstrates how AI can streamline workflows, reduce administrative burdens, and integrate seamlessly into the tools that teams already rely on daily, making Claude a central part of the modern digital workspace.
