It’s always been Apple taking the fight against any company copying their designs but now the table might have turn… A Chinese phone company is claiming Apple copied their designs and they mean to come after them big time, that’s if Apple ignores them. The smartphone maker “Digione” is claiming that the design of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are a copy of its existing design for a device under its 100+ brand in China. This device is a low-end $130 smartphone that’s apparently been available for a while which runs on Android. Digione claims that not only the design was copied, but even the color options, even if these color options have been part of Apple’s lineup since last year. The Chinese Stare Intellectual Property Office granted the patent in July, and Digione claims that it wrote a letter to Apple upon the launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in September.
Apple has been unresponsive to the claim, and it’s the reason why Digione claimed to have been forced to make the letter public.
The company claims that it hopes to reach a settlement with Apple before any legal action is required… This might just get interesting!
