And she is ready to compete in the D-Finals of the Women’s Single Scull event of the Rio Olympics. Ukogu came fourth in the W1x class SC/D 1 Semifinal race, within 08:18.550.

She already surpassed expectations by getting to this point. She made history by being Nigeria’s first Olympic rower.

The finals is taking place today, Saturday 13 August at 2.40p.m

We are rooting for you. Go girl!

    Update!!!

Chierika finished 20th overall even though she finished 2nd in the D finals with a time of 7.44
