The 67th International Motor Show (IAA) will kick off on the 14th of September in Frankfurt. It promises to be a wonderful show which will show the latest trends in cars and mobility.

Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel will open the IAA Cars 2017 on September 14. Two days later, from September 16, the IAA will be open to the general public every day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The slogan “Future now” focuses on the megatrends of connected and automated driving, electric mobility and the urban mobility concepts of tomorrow.

German auto company BMW has announced the cars it will be displaying at the event.

The company’s stand will centre on its expanded luxury class line-up, captivating studies and production models in numerous segments exhibited at a public trade fair for the first time.

The new products unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt show will highlight the status of BMW as a manufacturer of vehicles that transmit unrivalled levels of emotional appeal with their inspirational design, trailblazing innovations and the driving pleasure for which the brand is renowned. BMW is also showcasing the latest technological developments for the future of personal mobility, in which powertrain electrification, comprehensive digitalisation and other advances in the field of automated driving will play a particularly important role.

Both the BMW Concept 8 Series and the BMW 7 Series Edition 40 Jahre are testimony to BMW’s expanded presence in the luxury segment. Other facets of driving pleasure to be demonstrated at the 2017 Frankfurt show are the BMW Concept Z4, the new BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo and the new BMW X3 respectively – including exhilarating open-air fun, elegance and long-distance comfort, not to mention multi-faceted sportiness. The know-how gleaned from competing in motor sport is a traditional component of the BMW brand’s DNA, and it endows the new BMW M8 GTE with ideal credentials for endurance racing. The new BMW M5, meanwhile, transfers these high-performance genes from track to road to stunning effect. The new edition of the BMW i3, which is making its debut appearance at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show together with the new and even sportier BMW i3s, illustrates just how closely the company associates driving pleasure with sustainability.

Hall 11 at the main entrance to the Frankfurt trade fair site has been prepared for the shared BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad stand.

Here are the cars that will grace the occassion:

    BMW 7 Series Edition
    BMW M8 GTE
    BMW M8 GTE
    BMW i5s
    BMW i5s
    BMW M5
    BMW M5

    BMW Z4 Concept
    BMW Motorrad Concept

    The IAA in figures

The IAA Cars is a superlative event every time. At the IAA Cars 2015 around 1,100 exhibitors from 39 countries presented their innovations on an area of 230,000 square meters. With 219 world premieres, it again enhanced its position as the leading international trade show for mobility. In all, nearly 932,000 visitors flooded onto the exhibition grounds in Frankfurt am Main. Their average age was 34. The main motivation for visiting the show was “seeing cars you don’t see anywhere else.”

The event will end of the 24th of September.
