Chalkboard Education has emerged the winner of the Accra edition of Seedstars International. The e-learning solutions company beat nine other competitors last night to secure a place on the train to Switzerland.
Headed by CEO, Adrien Bouillot, Chalkboard offers plug-and-play mobile learning solutions that work on any device and without an Internet connection.
Chalkboard Education offers students and universities a low-cost e-learning service that everyone can access. Teachers can upload their content to the platform, where students can access it at any time using their mobile, even without an internet connection. They can also submit questions to their teachers with an SMS-based messaging system. As such, everyone can get qualifications, even if they cannot access the campus.
Other startups that participated in the event last night include Landmapp (first runner-up, TECHAiDe (second runner-up), GoSun Stove, Krinotech Solutions, Cocktail Insights, SynCommerce, HQ Renewable Tech, and Nubian Oryx.
