Alcatel OneTouch has announced a new Child-friendly watch for Children. It is the CareTime Children’s Watch. This 2G Connected Kids’ Watch is aimed to give Parents’ Peace of Mind.

With this GPS tracking device, parents can call or send voice messages to their children, and children can reply to calls from up to 10 pre-set contacts and make calls to 5 registered numbers. . The GPS locator lets parents know where their kids are, and also includes an app that  notifies parents when their children enter or leave a predetermined safe zone.

Designed for children from 5 to 9 years old,  CareTime is rated IP65, meaning it is protected against dust and low-pressure water jets. The battery has a long standby time, lasting up to four days. And CareTime comes in two fresh color combinations, perfect for young children.

Through a dedicated smartphone application, compatible with both iOS 7 and above and Android 4.3 and above, parents are able to track their children’s location and to receive notifications when children enter or leave a pre-determined safe zone.

Using a blend of GPS, GSM and Wi-Fi, CareTime can locate children within 60 seconds using the most accurate location information, both indoors and outdoors, thanks to a dedicated cloud service.

It will first be available in Europe and Latin America in April 2016.
