Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, CcHub founder and CEO, has been unveiled as a ministerial nominee in the 2nd batch of ministerial nominees released by Femi Gbajabiamila, chief of staff to President Bola Tinubu and shared by Senate President Godswill Akpabio today.

Based on his work in the technology space, it is expected that he would lead the Science, Technology and Innovation ministry.

Dr. Bosun Tijani, a Nigerian-British entrepreneur, serves as the co-founder and CEO of Co-Creation Hub (CcHUB), a prominent Pan-African centre for innovation and technology operating at the forefront of advancing innovative ideas and societal progress through the application of innovation and social resources.

Tijani is widely recognized as a trailblazer and prominent figure in the African technology landscape. He was honoured as one of the 100 Most Influential People on the continent by New Africa Magazine. He orchestrated the inaugural visit of Mark Zuckerberg to Nigeria in August 2016, a pivotal move aimed at elevating Africa’s presence in the global technology arena. Tijani has also orchestrated visits from other global tech luminaries, including former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey in 2019. Most recently, in June 2023, he hosted a meaningful conversation with Bill Gates, the Microsoft founder and co-Chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Under Tijani’s guidance, CcHUB made significant strides. In 2019, the organization acquired Kenya’s iHub and introduced the CcHUB Design Lab in Kigali, Rwanda. Demonstrating his commitment to expansion, Tijani extended CcHUB’s Pan-African reach to Southern Africa by inaugurating CcHUB Namibia, a major tech hub in Windhoek, Namibia, in 2023.

Furthermore, Tijani holds a concurrent role as an associate researcher at the Wits School of Governance. His research pursuits centre around collaborative initiatives that offer insights to policymakers, inventors, and entrepreneurs.
