CANAL+ Unveils Major Global Overhaul After MultiChoice Merger

CANAL+ has announced a major reorganization of its Brand and Communication Department following its strategic integration with MultiChoice, marking a new phase in the company’s global communication strategy.

The restructuring introduces a new international framework built around two key regions — Africa and Europe/Asia — designed to strengthen CANAL+’s communication network and align with its growing international footprint.

In Africa, Hala Saab has been appointed Director of Communication, expanding her responsibilities to include English- and Portuguese-speaking MultiChoice markets. She will now oversee all CANAL+ communication activities across the continent. Saab, who holds a degree in Strategic Marketing from ISC Paris, joined CANAL+ in 2001 and has since led several communication initiatives, including product and international communications.

In Europe and Asia, Armelle Masson assumes the role of Director of Communication, managing communication operations across Europe (excluding France), Vietnam, and Myanmar. Masson, a graduate of Université Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne, joined the company in 2005 and most recently served as Communication Manager at CANAL+ International.

Both Saab and Masson will report directly to Emilie Pietrini, Chief Brand and Communication Officer at CANAL+.

In France, the Brand and Communication Department remains under two complementary divisions: Céline Pontygayot, who continues to lead Advertising Communication, and Olivia Abehassera, who heads Corporate and Programmes Communication.

This reorganization underscores CANAL+’s commitment to consolidating its brand identity and communication strategy on a global scale, following its merger with MultiChoice — a move that solidifies its presence as a leading media powerhouse across multiple continents.
