Microsoft has announced that anyone can now use Skype without necessarily having an account.

According to Skype’s latest update, users who don’t have the app or  don’t want to open an account can visit Skype.com and click “start a conversation” then add your name. After adding your name, a link will be shared with you which you can forward to whoever you want to call or chat.

With this link, you can chat with as many as 300 people while for the video or voice calls, up to 25 people can be added. These is free and the conversation link will expire after 24 hours.

Despite this, if you want to extend your chats or video/voice calls, call a number and access other Skype services, you have to create an account or login.
