Nominations for the 2015 Rising Star Awards are currently open. The Rising Star Programme recognizes and connect talented young people in the workplace aged 28-40 who have a capacity for achievement, success and make a valuable difference.
The 2015 Awards will recognise individuals in the following 10 business sectors in Kenya:

- Entrepreneur
- ICT (telecoms & technology) *- Sponsored by Airtel*
- Manufacturing, Retail & FMCG
- Media & Marketing
- *Professional Services *
- Service: Public & Private
- Transport, Logistics & Supply Chain
- Tourism Leisure & Hospitality
The programme recommends companies nominate up to 5 candidates from the company.
This years award ceremony will be hosted in Kenya on the 24th of April 2015.

Recognising Talent in the workplace for young people between the ages of 28 and 40 – as an organization that is investing in corporate development is also aimed at creating great synergies between the Rising Star Awards and the vision you carry for the future of Kenya’s young talent.
The Rising Star Awards have been designed to unearth recognise these inspirational and passionate individuals who have a capacity for achievement and success – young people, who through their work are shaping the future of Kenya with tremendous dedication and energy.
The Rising Star Programme aims to be a significant and sustainable vehicle through which organisations, our country and continent can identify and nurture these “organisational and national assets” who are set to play a key role in shaping the future of our country and our continent. Using a new and innovative approach, the Rising Star Programme will establish a living community of young Kenyan talent that will be developed, mentored and provided with platforms for development and communication, therefore enabling them to become role models, opinion leaders and the inspiration for other future Kenyan Talent.
The programme intends to:
- Raise awareness of the breadth and depth of talent in the 28-40 year age bracket
- Create opportunities for young talented individuals to grow, connect and give back
- Provide inter-connected, interactive group driven social and growth platforms for young talented individuals
