Young African entrepreneurs are now invited to apply for the 2025 edition of the Anzisha Prize, a prestigious program that offers a range of benefits, services, and prize money to support their ventures. The Anzisha Prize is an initiative delivered by the African Leadership Academy in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation. Its primary goal is to increase the number of job-generative entrepreneurs across Africa.
In this edition, thirty-five outstanding entrepreneurs, aged between 15 and 22, will be selected to participate in a multi-year fellowship. During this fellowship, the selected fellows will receive comprehensive business support, including personalized business coaching, experiential learning opportunities, and access to resources designed to help them develop and scale their ventures.
Entrepreneurs whose businesses demonstrate significant growth and initiative will be rewarded with various benefits and services. These include access to short courses, cloud services, and cash stipends. At the end of the second year of the fellowship, the entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to pitch their businesses and showcase their successes for a chance to win a share of prizes totaling US$50,000.
The grand prizes are divided into four categories: job creation, revenue growth, storytelling, and integrating systems and processes. Upon completion of the fellowship, the fellows will graduate and become part of the esteemed Anzisha Prize alumni network.
This year, the Anzisha Prize is placing a special emphasis on green entrepreneurs. “We are looking for passionate individuals who are tackling environmental challenges with innovative and sustainable business solutions,” said Didi Onwu, managing editor of the Anzisha Prize.
Applications are open here until November 8.
