    Cadbury Nigeria appoints first female MD since inception 50 years ago

    Mrs Oyeyimika Adeboye has been appointed the first female Managing Director of Cadbury Nigeria since its establishment in Nigeria 50 years ago.

    The appointment takes effect from April 1 2019.

    Mrs Adeboye joined the board of the company in November 2008, as Finance and Strategy Director, West Africa.

    “Adeboye’s appointment attests to the company’s commitment to promoting gender equality, diversity and inclusion.” said the company.

    Before joining Cadbury, Mrs Adeboye was the Director of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Nigerian Bottling Company Plc. She previously worked for former Arthur Andersen & Co in the Accounting and Tax practice.

    She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Social Studies from the University College Cardiff, Wales and executive management education certification from the Institute of Management Development (IMD), Lausanne Switzerland

    The company also appointed Mr Ogaga Ologe as the new Finance Director. Mr Ologe joined Cadbury in 2012 from KPMG Professional Services. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Delta State Univeristy, Abraka. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Nigeria (ICAN).
