Co-founder fo Co-Creation Hub, ‘Bosun Tijani, is launching a creativity place for children to experience and enjoy technology and innovation on another level. It is called STEM Cafe.
This is the first of many amazing play spaces for kids age 5-18 across Africa. According to him, “children can get a chance to be amongst the first to experience how we are reinventing science education through play.”
According to ‘Bosun when asked the objective behind the initiative, “There is an urgent need for an extensive application of scientific and technological breakthroughs to leapfrog development across Africa. Exposing young people to STEM at an early age is one sure way of building a generation of innovators and thinkers who will sustain and strengthen the evolving position of Africa in the world.”
“I am as such extremely excited to once again contribute to building a fun platform that will build a new generation of leaders for science and technology across Africa through the STEMCafe.”
The first location for this initiative in Lagos, is in partnership with ENYO Retails; an extremely innovative downstream organisation. The company is hosting the first cafe while funding for the set up, operations is ‘Bosun’s personal investment.
The first STEM Cafe is officially launching this Saturday 27th, April 2019 from 10am – 5pm at STEMCafe, Top Floor, ENYO Filling Station (Behind Nike Art Gallery/ Beside Legacy Place), Ikate, Lekki, Lagos.
