BBM for Android has reportedly been released for testing but only to some people selected as part of the beta test groups. This will come as a relief to many Android users who have been highly anticipating the product with most people wondering if BBM will still be released on non-Blackberry platforms.
It is also said that the new version has fixed the bugs on the previously leaked version of BBM. It now features a new welcome screen explaining the app notifications and the persistent notification on the status bar can be disabled.
No mention of the release date has been made yet, in fact Blackberry has not released any statement about the testing itself but at least things are moving forward in the quest to make Blackberry available for all platforms.
