It has been whispered in many quarters and written in many blog posts but not been confirmed by Rocket Internet’s Jumia Nigeria that the duo of +Tunde Kehinde and +Raphael Afaedor are on their way out of the eCommerce company they started in Nigeria.
It was first mentioned by +Sam Wakoba in a blog post on the 29th of November 2013 and a recent post in another blog, TechCabal seems to corroborate this story.
However Jumia Nigeria has not officially their planned exits.
The two Harvard trained Founders were employed to start the venture mid 2012 when Sabunta and Kasuwa merged to form Jumia. And they have since transformed the company into an eCommerce giant in Nigeria. Under their stewardship, the duo were able to get about $50 million in funding.
Though not confirmed, it is rumoured that they will be starting their own ventures pretty soon.
