    Apply for Naijahacks 2018 and Stand a Chance of Winning N1Million and Other Great Prizes

    Application is currently on for the 2018 edition of Naijahacks.

    The Hackathon kicks off online from October 18 to 23, 2018 and wraps up with a Demo day on October 24, 2018.

    Also, there will be an award ceremony on October 25, 2018, in Lagos, Nigeria. Lots of amazing prizes to be won, plus a full day of networking, learning, great food and lots of fun with an international team of Mentors, Speakers, and Judges from the US, UK, Canada, and Nigeria.

    Naijahacks aims to inspire a generation of Nigerian innovators to use technology to create solutions for their communities.

    The Hackathon seeks innovation from four sectors: Education, FinTech, Entertainment, and Agriculture.

    FOCUS

    • Education: Providing tools to facilitate teaching and learning.
    • FinTech: Developing lasting solutions for financial inclusion.
    • Entertainment: Developing Media solutions to enable the empowerment of talent.
    • Agriculture: Improving farmer productivity and food security in Africa.

    PROCESS

    1. Apply to Participate: Submit your application at naijahacks.com/submit or by clicking the PARTICIPATE button. Enter your details & create a team- October 12, 2018.
    2. Get accepted: Get acceptance email & log into your application to confirm your Enter T-Shirt size, update team & upload CV/Resume for opportunities – October 13, 2018.
    3. Pick a project: Working with your teammates, come up with an idea or pick one from the ideas board- October 13-17, 2018.
    4. Join Slack & Start building: Join the NaijaHacks Slack team, create a private channel for your team & start hacking-October 17, 2018.
    5. Ask questions. Push: Work with your team on your project. Ask mentors questions on slack. Ensure you push your changes regularly to Github- October 17-23, 2018.
    6. Submit your project: Submit your project on DevPost and include the GitHub link- October 23, 2018.
    7. Meet, Learn, Eat, get Swag & Demo: Meet in Lagos Nigeria & listen to talks from speakers speaking from around the world. Be one of 100 teams to demo your project in expo-style setting to esteemed judges. Get your personalized NaijaHacks Goodie bag- October 24, 2018.
    8. Get T-Shirts, photoshoot, & pitch: Return to the venue to pitch to VCs & Execs from Nigeria & Silicon Valley. Get Official NaijaHacks T-shirt & more swag- October 25, 2018.
    9. Get prizes: Get more swag. Prizes announced and given to winners- October 25, 2018.
    10. Incubate. Interviews: Continue working on the project as a pilot. Join one of our Incubation partners. Do job interviews with our partners –After event.
