Fit 4 Start Program powered by Luxinnovation has been opened the application for the 2019 edition and African startups involved in ICT, Space and Healthtech have been invited to apply. 20 startups will be accepted and applications will close on August 16, 2019.
Aside from offering a grant of €50,000, startups will also undergo coaching for 16 weeks and network with tech companies in Luxembourg.
Eligibility
The Programme is open to innovative projects or young innovative start-ups from around the world
that meet all the following criteria:
A. Company active in the sectors such as ICT, Health Tech or any other sector of interest jointly agreed by the Initiator and the Organiser.
B. There is no prerequisite for Applicants to have incorporated a company at the application stage.
C. If the Applicant already incorporated a company, this should be not older than 5 years
before the time of their Programme application.
D. The Applicant team must be composed of a minimum of two people, with at least one person working full time on the project during their participation in the Programme.
E. The applicant may be any early-stage and/or more advanced start-ups/projects. Although it is not necessary to have a minimum viable product (‘MVP’) at the application stage. For the HealthTech domain, products or services in preclinical POC or MVP will be preferred.
F. Participant must be at least 18 years of age or older as of the starting date of the Programme.
At the end of the Fit 4 Start Programme, successful startups that have raised €50,000 in private capital are offered another €100,000 grant by the Ministry of the Economy. This brings the total to €150,000
There is also another special offer for startups that are innovating in the space sector. The Programme says those that will be selected will have access to the data centre of the Luxembourg Space Agency. It is the national entry point to data products of the Copernicus Sentinel constellation.
