Application Opens For The WFP Innovation Accelerator 

Applications for the World Food Programme Innovation Accelerator for a chance to get access to mentorship, financial support, and WFP operations, partners and technical experts.

The selected startups will be invited to participate in a Bootcamp, to be held 4-8 June 2018 in Munich, Germany, where they will use human-centred design and lean start-up to deep dive field-level challenges, ideate solutions, and refine project plans, alongside mentors and industry experts.

Teams may also get an opportunity to develop their projects through our Sprint Programme, where they are eligible to receive up to USD 100,000 in funding, field access, and hands-on support.

On 8 June 2018, the weeklong intensive program will culminate with Pitch Night – an opportunity for projects to shine in front of investors and industry leaders. Submit your application by 1 April 2018.

WFP is looking for startups that meet the following:

• High potential to reach zero hunger
• High level of innovation – could be on the technology, business model or systems
• Strong team -team track record together, individual skills
• Scalability potential
• Financial sustainability of the project
• Proven problem and traction
• The WFP Innovation Accelerator does not take equity that participates in the Sprint Program.
