Digify Africa, in collaboration with Meta and the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation (MSDF), has announced the opening of applications for its Digify Pro Online digital entrepreneurship program. This initiative is specifically designed for young adults between the ages of 18 to 35 who are currently unemployed. The program focuses on the vibrant area of digital marketing and aims to provide these individuals with the skills necessary to thrive in the digital economy.
The 2024 iteration of the program introduces an innovative approach to learning, structured as a tiered educational experience. Participants will embark on a comprehensive journey through three distinct levels of training: foundational, intermediate, and advanced. Each level is carefully crafted to incrementally build the participants’ digital marketing and entrepreneurial skills, ultimately preparing them for independent and successful careers in the digital space.
The journey begins with the Digify PRO Foundational Level, which serves as an entry point to the more intensive Digify Pro Online Bootcamp. Here, learners are introduced to the essential concepts and practices of digital marketing and entrepreneurship. Following this, the Digify PRO Intermediate Level offers a 10-week bootcamp that delves deeper into strategic aspects of digital marketing, pushing participants to develop more sophisticated skills.
Finally, the Digify PRO Advanced Level marks the culmination of the program, featuring six weeks of specialized elective training that allows participants to hone their expertise in specific areas of interest.
Nothando Gininda, the Digify PRO Project Manager, emphasizes the significance of the new 3-Level program. She notes that it is a direct response to the growing rates of youth unemployment and the urgent need for more accessible educational opportunities, particularly for those who have been historically marginalized. The program’s structure and content are designed to create an inclusive environment that fosters learning and professional development, positioning young adults for success in the competitive digital marketing landscape.
Applications are open here until June 2.
