The Apple Watch was made available online for preorder last Friday 10th of April and it looks like Apple’s potential stock shortages on its Watch is because of ridiculous first day sales with around 1 million pre-orders in the US. According to reports from Slice Intelligence, Apple has already sold roughly 957,000 watches and according to the data studied, the most popular Watch was the most affordable Sports model and by comparison, there was an estimated 720,000 Android Wear units shipped in about six months.

The Space Gray color was the most popular option for Apple Watch buyers and the Black Sport Band was the most common choice, followed by the white band and the Milanese Loop.

In total, 64 percent of shoppers picked the Apple Watch Sport, which starts at $349 for the 38 mm option. However, the report adds that the 42 mm option ($399) was significantly more popular, making up 71 percent of Apple’s total smartwatch sales, which includes all models.  The Apple Watch will officially go on sale from 24 April but since Apple has confirmed that customers can’t buy a watch in store it looks like there’ll be a wait for everyone.
