Apple is releasing an update a week after releasing iOS 9 to the public. A lot of users received error messages like software update failed, while others got stuck on the “Slide to Upgrade” screen, after successfully completing the download.
iOS 9.0.1 update fixes that issue as well as a few other bugs:
- Fixes an issue where some users could not complete setup assistant after updating
- Fixes an issue where alarms and timers sometimes failed to play
- Fixes an issue in Safari and Photos where pausing video could cause the paused frame to appear distorted
- Fixes an issue where some users with a custom APN setup via a profile would lose cellular data
Download and install iOS 9.0.1 by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
