As expected and reported last week, Apple launched the iRadio music streaming service today. This was announced at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco.
iTunes Radio will create themed Internet radio stations based on specific songs, and Apple provides “featured” radio stations as well. The service will be free for users, although it’s supported by ads. iTunes Radio will be available on iOS devices (iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch) running iOS 7 as well as the iTunes on the Mac or PC.
Apple’s iTunes Radio is expected to go head-to-head with a whole slew of web radio leaders such as Pandora, Spotify and Google Play Music All Access which was launched last month
