Apple has sent out invites for possibly the unveiling of the next iPhone scheduled for the 10th of September.
The venue for the Apple event is the company’s Apple Park headquarters in Cupertino, California.
There has been rumours and leaks but all that would be put to rest. It is rumoured that there would be prominent camera housing which would house 3 lenses on the rear. Will this be true? If yes, it would be deviation from the usual camera format. Other rumours suggest that Apple would introduce three new iPhone models which would succeed the iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max.
Note however that Apple has not or did not actually mention that it would launch the iPhone 11 but it is highly expected. It is just four months away from Christmas season and since Samsung recently launched its Note10 series, Apple should be able to give a response.
Apple is cognisant of the fact that it has to revive its smartphone sales as it witnessed a decline in Q2 year on year, although at a lesser rate compared with the first quarter of 2019. It sold just over 38 million iPhones in the second quarter, a 13.8% decline year over year.
But its main rival Samsung witnessed a growth in its smartphone sales in the 2nd quarter of 2019, selling 75 million smartphones in the second quarter of 2019 and growing its share by 1.1 percentage points year over year.
Innovation Village will be watching and providing minute by minute report of the Apple event on its Twitter handle. Watch out.
