Apple has bought Artificial Intelligence company Lattice.io for 200 million dollars according to reports.

Lattice.io uses machine intelligence to convert dark data such as unstructured text and images and then turns them into structured data that is understandable by companies and individuals. Lattice was founded in 2015.

Reacting to the acquisition, a spokeswoman for Apple said: “Apple buys smaller technology companies from time to time, and we generally do not discuss our purpose or plans.”
