Recently, the Anzisha Prize, a distinguished accolade that spotlights young African entrepreneurs for their exceptional ability to innovate and evolve their businesses, announced its latest cohort of winners. The grand finale of this annual event was held in Johannesburg, South Africa, where four remarkable entrepreneurs—Mathias Yabe, Nzinga Antonio, Sharon Alyorneku, and Ivo Bonfirm—were celebrated as the overall victors.

Each of these enterprising individuals was awarded a substantial sum of US$10,000, recognizing their achievements and potential for future success. Beyond the monetary reward, the winners were also provided with a holistic support package designed to catalyze their business growth. This package encompasses personalized coaching sessions, mentorship from industry experts, targeted training to refine their entrepreneurial skills, and a wealth of networking opportunities to forge valuable connections.

Dave Tait, the senior director for entrepreneurial education programs at the Anzisha Prize, expressed his enthusiasm for the latest fellowship recipients. “It is with great pleasure that we declare the winners of this year’s Anzisha Prize,” he remarked. “These young innovators are instrumental in driving Africa’s economic advancement, laying the groundwork for further development and the creation of new jobs. Their unwavering commitment, inventive approaches, and tenacious spirit serve as an inspiration to us all.”
