The debate is back? Where do we want the powers to be? The world is flat and tech companies are growing larger and larger and can do whatever they want if they want to go maniacal. Have they already gone that way though? There are no reins, there is no God to the west, their man Nietzsche killed him. All it is, are sentiments thrown everywhere. All, if callous, has a price. The tech companies are NOT DOING IT FAIRLY!! All it is, are friends and foes, allies and non-allies these days.
It is every man with their spear, every man vulnerable to the deadly blow that could have them restarting this journey or going to a cell with insufficient light. Why should you be worried about a company messing you up though? Is this development worrying?
Thank God for the government. They were elected to give us all a chance against rogue individuals with the might of a strong military backing behind them and a mandate to create the rules that encourage or discourage the players of the game. Though give them too much importance and they will surely make you slaves as soon as they can. Human history moves the way it does anyways, its cycles never stop. The rise of evil faces good and then it happens again and like that. Celebrated companies like Facebook, Apple, Google and Amazon play too much for the Western government’s liking. They are the ones that force these governments into creating new laws. Contrary to what you must have been taught at school, business is not all about rational and logic, it could be about anything just because players in business know they have a government. It is the reason why lobbying will not go extinct tomorrow no matter who tells you so.
Take the case of Google when it was sued because of its chrome browser. The other companies that filed the suit, did so because they love the law and the law told them that Google could not toss them anyhow because they had the Android operating system. The law makes these companies want to go to war. This is why you always hear the word fair and unfair a lot especially when it comes to cases of antitrust and this is the reason lawyers are never neglected or ignored. The laws are the rules of the game and the CEO’s simply love to play this game when they can.
The unfortunate and annoying thing about this new antitrust push as you will see, is that the country’s two political arms where these companies reside, use this push for two separate purposes. On the republican side, is a growing annoyance over Silicon Valley titan’s cancelling posts of people they disagree with on the ideologue scale and on the other hand are the Democrats who will like to pretend that the big tech companies are really breaking laws like they are reported for in Europe.
Senator Elizabeth Warren made the claim in a tweet that ‘Google has too much power, and they’re using that power to hurt small businesses, stifle innovation, and tilt the playing field against everyone else. It’s time to fight back. That’s why I have a plan to break up Google and the other big tech companies’. It is pretty obvious that this is just a campaign ploy for her 2020 bid but a closer examination of her words will show you just how far certain politicians will go without merit. Google are not that bad and even if it is, it is not their fault. Their offering attracts the big bucks as is the case with all the other tech giants. It is not everyone that has their audience and breaking Google up will not make much of a change because now the whole move is looking illegal and the first law of any antitrust move, is to check the impact on the consumer and from America all the way to Nigeria, not many customers can complain unless we are about to create many mini Facebooks and Googles which would not make much sense.
The real case is these companies are caving to protests and attacks on free speech when you talk social media. It is insane. Governments must take the right decisions now or else set bad precedents for new generations on the way.

Good work. A lot of good points here.
Nice points to ponder on.
