The 2018 Nigeria Computer Society’s (NCS) National Conference has been schedule to hold between July 17 – 19, 2018.
The conference which is an annual event of NCS, the national body of IT professionals, seeks the advancement of Information Technology Science and Practice; and their deployments as solutions and business enablers to all industry practices of human endeavor.
The theme for this year’s conference: ‘Digital Inclusion, Opportunities, Challenges and strategies’ as revealed by the NCS President, Professor Sola Aderounmu on the official twitter handle of the NCS, will address main industry issues such as practical realities and needs, emerging issues, innovations, best practices, stakeholder roles and future sustainability.
With special attention given to relevance and enabling value driven impact, the conference will proffer measures to the urgent need to diversify the economy away from dependence on oil and improve economic performance.
The NCS also called for papers for the conference. Authors are required to submit an original, unpublished work for publication, which may also be presented at the National Conference. Expected papers are to focus on the following topics:
- Tech Start-ups, SME’s and Youth Entrepreneurship
- FinTech, e-commerce and Financial Inclusion
- Cybersecurity: Awareness, Threat Protection and Digital Rights
- Digital Literacy, Knowledge Culture and Human Development
- E-voting and Election Management
- Digital Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women
