Andela, an international marketplace for remote technical expertise, has announced the introduction of a new platform that is designed to make the hiring process more direct, customised, and successful for both talent and recruiters.
Already well-known for its concentration on high-quality global engineering talent from over 100 countries, the company has expanded its portfolio to include designers, product managers, and data skills. As a result of this expansion, Andela is launching a new brand identity. It comes months after Andela raised $200 million in a Series E round, which valued the company at $1.5 billion.
In a statement, Andela’s CEO and co-founder, Jeremy Johnson, cited the revolution by industry giants such as Amazon, Apple, and Netflix, stating that the reason for the new platform is “to help talent find jobs that match more than just their technical skills.” Instead, we help them find careers that match their lives. He added that the technology discovers talents that fit the exact needs, helping companies find top talent in less than two weeks, and often in just two to three days.
Data-driven technology and algorithms are at the heart of the new platform, which rapidly generates intelligent match recommendations. There are no long contracts or needless calls with sales teams, therefore the platform reduces time spent on the hiring process by hiring managers and recruiters. Instead, it concentrates on exposing high-quality talent at the earliest opportunity.
Hiring managers only need to set up a profile for their business, post a job, and then get a list of their selected prospects immediately. Andela claims its matching takes into account the breadth and depth of required skills, as well as time zones and working hours that overlap, as well as industry experience and a good fit with the team.
In a simple and straightforward graph, candidates and recruiters can see how well their abilities and interests line up with available positions, making it easier for them to assess whether they are a good fit.
The Andela platform is continually learning, which allows it to improve the quality of its customised recommendations over time. If a recommendation is accepted or rejected, users are prompted to provide additional details. By incorporating user input, it is able to further personalise the platform.
Andela has so far concentrated on helping organisations develop remote engineering teams by providing them with access to the greatest software engineers in the world. The Andela platform has been used by hundreds of prominent companies including GitHub, Goldman Sachs, and Cloudflare to rapidly and effectively increase their engineering teams. It is now adding high-quality talent matching in additional practice areas such as design, data, and product management to its current offering.
Additionally, Andela has unveiled a new visual brand design to better reflect both the company’s growth and that of its global talent industry. The new style of the brand is more in line with the company’s human-centred objective while also being more visually appealing.
