Amethis, a private equity firm with a strong track record in emerging markets, has successfully completed the final close of its Amethis Europe Expansion Fund, reaching its target of nearly €150 million, which includes a dedicated co-investment envelope. This milestone marks a significant step in Amethis’ strategy to support European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with ambitions to grow across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.

The fund is led by Nicolas Manardo and Romain Gauvrit, seasoned professionals in private equity, and is designed to provide both majority and minority investments ranging from €8 million to €20 million. Its focus is on helping European SMEs scale internationally, particularly into high-growth markets where Amethis has deep operational and regional expertise.

To date, Amethis has already deployed nearly half of the fund across five strategic investments, including:

    • Groupe Office Automation (France) – A distributor offering value-added services for printing equipment, software, and maintenance solutions tailored to SME clients.
    • HB Aesthetics (Spain) – A company specializing in the development, production, and distribution of dermo-cosmetic products.
    • Capital Banking Solutions (France) – A global provider of core banking software serving both private and retail banks.
    • Fidence (Luxembourg) – A fiduciary and corporate services firm catering to institutional, corporate, and family office clients.
    • EIF Expertise (France) – An advisory firm focused on property and R&D tax optimization.

In a joint statement, Luc Rigouzzo and Laurent Demey, co-founders and managing partners of Amethis, commented:

The final closing of Amethis Europe Expansion marks a significant milestone in Amethis’ journey. This strategy perfectly illustrates our ambition to build a strong bridge between our European DNA and our long-standing commitment to Africa and emerging markets. We are proud of the continued trust our investors have placed in us, and we have full confidence in Nicolas and Romain to ensure the success of this fund, drawing on their deep expertise and extensive experience in private equity markets.
