    Amazon Launches Bazaar App in Nigeria for Low-Cost Shopping

    Amazon has launched the Amazon Bazaar app in Nigeria, expanding its ultra low-price shopping experience to one of Africa’s largest e-commerce markets. The new app offers hundreds of thousands of affordable products across fashion, home, and lifestyle categories, with most items priced under ₦15,000.

    The app forms part of Amazon’s global effort to make online shopping more accessible, building on the success of Amazon Haul in the U.S., U.K., and several other countries. Nigeria now joins a list of 14 new destinations — including Hong Kong, the Philippines, Kuwait, and Argentina — where Amazon Bazaar is available.

    Expanding Amazon’s Affordable Shopping Footprint

    With the launch of Amazon Bazaar, the company aims to reach price-sensitive consumers who value affordability without compromising on quality. The app extends Amazon’s long-standing promise of wide selection, competitive pricing, and trusted delivery standards.

    According to Amazon, “Based on the positive response we’ve seen from customers shopping Amazon Haul in various markets, we are excited to introduce this popular experience to even more customers worldwide.”

    The Amazon Bazaar app is designed for value-conscious shoppers, featuring products that start as low as ₦3,000. Customers can enjoy 50% off their first order, and all orders above ₦30,000 qualify for free delivery. Standard shipping applies to smaller orders, with deliveries typically arriving within two weeks.

    Combining Value and Interactive Shopping

    In addition to offering discounted items, Amazon Bazaar integrates interactive features to make online shopping more engaging. Customers can participate in social lucky draws, discover new deals daily, and access exclusive promotions within the app.

    These features mirror the growing global trend of entertainment-driven shopping, where consumers combine browsing with interactive engagement.

    Trusted Amazon Experience, Localized for Nigeria

    Despite its low-price model, the company maintains its hallmark of trust and reliability. Every product listed on Amazon Bazaar undergoes rigorous compliance checks, ensuring shoppers receive items that meet Amazon’s safety and quality standards. Customers can also rely on the familiar review and rating system to make informed decisions, and all returns are free within 15 days of receipt.

    To make shopping seamless, Amazon Bazaar supports six languages, including English and French, and allows users to shop in their local currency (NGN). Payment options include Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, ensuring accessibility for both local and international customers.

    Nigeria’s e-commerce sector continues to experience steady growth, driven by increasing smartphone adoption and digital payment penetration. Amazon’s entry through the Bazaar app positions it to compete with established local platforms such as Jumia and Konga, while appealing to the fast-growing segment of budget-conscious consumers.

    With its trusted logistics infrastructure, the company could also set new standards for delivery reliability and customer satisfaction in Nigeria’s competitive online retail landscape.

    The Amazon Bazaar app is now available for download on iOS and Android app stores in Nigeria.
