Alviere, an international integrated finance platform provider, has been selected by Onafriq, an African digital payments network, to streamline payments and remittances between the United States and Africa. Onafriq cites Alviere’s wide array of solutions, technical expertise, and solid regulatory and compliance approach as reasons for their selection.
Being a licensed money transmitter in the United States and its territories, Alviere is part of the embedded finance providers assisting with cross-border payments from the US, states Onafriq.
“Onafriq will utilize Alviere’s HIVE platform and regulatory framework to process payments from the United States and its territories, adhering to robust anti-money laundering, sanctions, and fraud stipulations for US financial institutions to ensure clients have a seamless, safe, and secure experience,” according to Onafriq.
Onafriq explains that cross-border payments are a crucial lifeline for numerous African families and businesses, and enhancing financial accessibility across borders is a primary company goal.
Onafriq CEO and founder, Dare Okoudjou, expresses that thanks to Alviere’s technology and regulatory coverage, coupled with Onafriq’s continental footprint, fast and secure remittances can be ensured, which would facilitate financial access and economic prosperity for Africans.
Alviere’s Pedro Silva, co-founder and CEO, concurs by saying, “Our combined focus is to improve financial access for all individuals, irrespective of borders, past, or current resources.”
