Asia’s richest man and founder of Alibaba Group, Jack Ma, is set to make his first official visit to Africa. On this trip, he will be heading to Kenya and Rwanda on a three-day trip.
Ma who is the founder of Alibaba Group, is also a special adviser on youth entrepreneurship for United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). He is expected to arrive Nairobi on 19th July.
He will be raising awareness for the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and he will be joined by the secretary general ofUNCTAD, Dr.Mukhisa Kituyi. While in Nairobi, Ma will interact with young entrepreneurs to find ways in which youth and small businesses can participate in global trade.
In Rwanda, he will be giving the keynote address at the Youth Connekt Summit organised by the Rwandan government in partnership with UNCTAD and UNDP.
