The new system is designed to redefine how Airtel Money delivers financial services to its 49.8 million customers across multiple African markets.
The rollout began in Kenya and will expand to other Airtel Africa countries over the coming year, ushering in a more efficient, scalable, and secure framework for mobile financial operations.

According to Airtel Money, the platform introduces more than 50 advanced features and 120+ open APIs, enabling faster partner integrations, improved innovation cycles, and the creation of new revenue opportunities. The upgrade transforms Airtel Money into a complete digital financial ecosystem, capable of supporting a wider range of fintech services across the continent.
Built on a security-first architecture, the system features federated identity management, multi-factor authentication, and advanced safeguards to ensure data protection, regulatory compliance, and service resilience for millions of users. Customers will also benefit from enhanced self-service options, intuitive interfaces, and smoother cross-border money transfers.
