Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC)
Nigerian Export Promotion Council was set up in 1976 to reduce the bureaucratic challenges and increase autonomy in dealing with members of the organized private sector. Its mission and goal are to ensure the non-oil export sector becomes a significant contributor to Nigeria’s GDP and to facilitate opportunities for exporters to promote sustainable economic development.
Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC)
Raw Materials Research and Development Council is vested with the responsibility to promote the development and utilization of Nigeria’s raw materials. It is Nigeria’s focal point for developing and utilizing its vast industrial raw materials. It also encourages industries to substitute local raw materials for imported ones.
National Poverty Eradication Programme (NAPEP)
NAPEP was established in 2001 aimed at ensuring the reduction of poverty in the country. It coordinates and manages other institutions which include ministries, and develops guidelines and plans for them to follow regards the reduction of poverty. Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) SMEDAN was set up to promote micro, small, and medium enterprises development in Nigeria. It aims at facilitating the access of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs to all resources needed for their development. It aims at creating an efficient and structured micro, small and medium enterprises sector to enhance sustainable development in the country.
The functions of SMEDAN include Monitoring, Simulating, and Coordinating the development of the MSMEs sector. Initiating and articulating policy ideas for MSMEs development and growth; promotion and facilitating development programs, support services, and instruments to accelerate the modernization and development of MSME operation; Serving as the vanguard for rural industrialization, job creation, and overt reduction.
