AfriLabs, the largest pan-African network of technology and innovation hubs, has admitted 28 new hubs as members. The network thus goes from 174 hubs distributed in 45 African countries to a total of 202 member hubs in 46 African countries.
The impact of AfriLabs in the African technology and innovation ecosystem has enabled new hubs to join the network across the five African regions, including 16 in West Africa, 1 in South Africa , 8 in East Africa, 2 in Central Africa and 1 in North Africa.
In West Africa, AfriLabs has admitted Mal Hub, Artificial Intelligence Hub, Trustee Sas, Startup Incubator Gambia, Witty Hub, Pandora Box, BuildcodeTogether, Recycle Up! Ghana, ZongoVation Hub, TechQuest STEM, The CANs, Clean Technology Hub, dHUB, Genesys Tech Hub, Plus Innovation Hub and LearnFactory.
New members include hubs in East Africa: Makerere Innovation and Incubation Center, Rafiki Social Vision, Koon-Space, Fie-Labs, ASKlabs, Iniciativa para Democracia e Cidadania, THub and Ehub. While Dreams Tech Hub and Beehive Incubator & Coworking are located in the Central Africa region.
Parotech from Southern Africa and Flat6Labs from North Africa were also admitted.
