The largest network of over 60 technology and innovation hubs across 27 African countries has expanded by 7 new hub members, also extending its membership base to three new African countries – Sierra Leone, Somalia and Djibouti.

Since it’s inception in 2011, the network has grown steadily over the years. At the beginning of this year, it welcomed eleven new hubs into its network making a total of 18 new members so far in 2017.

The new members of the AfriLabs network are: GE Garage Nigeria, Ecolia Labs Cameroon, Kumasi Hive Ghana, iRise Hub Somalia, aLabs Sierra Leone, CTID (Centre de Technologie, d’Innovation pour le Developement) Djibouti, Centre d’innovation de Lubumbashi Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)

We are beyond ecstatic about AfriLabs expanding its network. We look forward to carrying out more projects with our partners and members across Africa to support these hubs and the start-ups, entrepreneurs and innovators in their communities achieve even greater impact. We look forward to a borderless and advanced Africa and members of our network collaborating to make this dream a reality – Anna Ekeledo, Executive Director, AfriLabs.
