The Anzisha Prize has opened applications for its latest edition, focusing this year on green entrepreneurs who combine innovation and sustainability. The Anzisha Prize aims to significantly increase the number of entrepreneurs in Africa that create job opportunities.

The initiative advocates for assessing, implementing, and sharing models for identifying, training, and connecting high potential, young entrepreneurs aged 15 to 22, as well as their parents and teachers. This is to collectively improve the creation of a pipeline of entrepreneurs capable of scaling.

This year’s application season for the Anzisha Prize shines a light on the important role of entrepreneurship in shaping African societies, with a specific emphasis on green entrepreneurship. 29 outstanding applicants will be selected to join the 2023/24 cohort.

Participants in the Anzisha Prize stand a chance to win a portion of grand cash prizes worth over US$60,000, and also receive substantial practical support for their businesses.

Interested entrepreneurs can apply until December 30.
