African Capital Alliance (ACA), a leading private equity firm focused on West Africa, has successfully completed its full exit from Nigerian integrated energy company Aradel Holdings. The divestment was made through ACA’s Capital Alliance Private Equity IV (CAPE IV) fund, which held a 15.92% equity stake in Aradel.
This exit follows Aradel’s landmark listing on the Nigerian Exchange in October 2024, a move that significantly broadened its shareholder base and attracted strong interest from both institutional and retail investors. The listing marked a pivotal moment in Aradel’s growth journey, positioning the company for greater transparency, governance, and access to capital.
Commenting on the development, Adegbite Falade, CEO of Aradel Holdings, said:
Aradel’s progress has been defined by disciplined operations and constructive partnerships. We are grateful for ACA’s strategic support throughout our journey and welcome their continued goodwill as we enter this next chapter. Our commitment remains firm, to strengthen operational excellence, uphold sound governance, and deliver sustainable value to our shareholders, host communities, and the broader Nigerian economy.
Aradel operates across the full value chain of the oil and gas industry, including upstream exploration and production, midstream processing and transportation, and downstream distribution. The company has built a reputation for innovation, operational efficiency, and community engagement, making it one of Nigeria’s most respected energy brands.
ACA’s exit from Aradel reflects the maturing of Nigeria’s private equity landscape, where successful partnerships are increasingly leading to public market transitions and broader investor participation. The transaction also underscores ACA’s track record of identifying and nurturing high-potential businesses that contribute meaningfully to regional economic development.
