Global management consulting and professional services firm, Accenture, has restructured its operations in Nigeria. It will now operate under a new name called Verraki.
As can be seen from LinkedIn profile of Niyi Yusuf, the former Country Managing Partner, he is now the Managing Partner of Verraki Partners.
Accenture, previously known as Andersen Consulting, started its Nigerian practice in 1985, having split away from Arthur Andersen in the parent body, Andersen Worldwide Société Coopérative (AWSC).
According to Niyi Yusuf in a discussion with The Punch newspapers, “Verraki is the local independent entity that will take over the operations of the consulting firm in the country.”
“Accenture is not leaving Nigeria. Accenture is restructuring its operations in Nigeria and will now deliver services through a local independent entity registered as Verraki.”
It is not exactly clear whether Verraki will continue to focus on the same kind of services that Accenture used to offer.
Segun Olalandu, marketing and communications officer of Accenture, told Realnews that“Most of the employees of Accenture in Nigeria will have roles in the new entity. Accenture will provide appropriate support to all employees in Nigeria during the transition.
