The Tech For Our planet challenge seeks innovators providing key digital and data technology solutions to combat vital climate changes. If you are one of those startups, this is an opportunity to pilot and pitch your solution. It is an exciting new opportunity for startups to establish innovative technologies. The best startups will have the opportunity to exhibit their solutions on the international stage at COP26.
An innovative run in collaboration between Cabinet Office and PUBLIC, the Tech For Our planet challenge aims at exploring and showcasing how digital and data solutions can make an essential and major contribution to the global climate effort.
Companies that are successful will work with external partners on raid pilots to display how valuable their technology is in advance of COP26. We will provide competition winners with in-kind support, mentorship, and industry introduction to make sure the pilots are as relevant as possible to government priorities.

In the future, innovators will partner with HMG to bring solutions to market and create a legacy towards COP27 that will be extended to include engineering solutions and hardware.
Eligibility
The Tech For Our Planet challenge is open to startups from anywhere in the world.
Program schedule
Recruitment
May 12 – June 25
Innovators have six weeks to submit their applications on the challenge portal.
Selection
June 25 – July 30
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview. Selected startups will be announced at the end of July.
Rapid Pilots
August 1 – October 30
After the companies are selected, they will work with external partners on rapid pilots to demonstrate the value of the technology in advance of COP26.
Showcase at COP26
November 1 – 12
As a culmination of the program, each company will present its pilot and the potential on an international stage at COP26.
Legacy
Looking to the future, innovators will work with HMG on bringing solutions to the market and creating a legacy towards COP27 and beyond.
