Use the money values parents thought you

The money values you exhibit today were acquired when you were young. If you are financially reckless or financially prudent, you must have  one of them while growing up. These money values are directly or indirectly picked up from parents. Parents encourage their children to imbibe the saving culture by constructing a saving box popularly called “kolo” for them as well as admonished them on reckless spending. To their advantage, if their parents are business minded, this trait will be bluethoothed  to their children. Do not be surprised the dexterity at which some people relate with money, they must have learnt shrewd financial management from their parents. They always have the financial capability to run a start up. Perhaps, parents should teach their children about good money values.

Education does not guarantee financial security

Attending college or university does not cement your financial future. It should be utilised by the literate to attain a certain degree of financial security. If you think that schooling will automatically transform your life overnight, you better have a rethink. Instead, hone your money management skills while in school, reach out to friends  to map out a business plan and start-up that business. There are school drop outs who are financially buoyant and vice versa.

    “I will make it someday”

Many people compensate themselves with the I will make it someday mantra. Ask yourself, will that someday ever come? This someday mindset has made some people laid back that they wait forever for breakthrough which may never come. They have refused to leave their comfort zone. This is a money secret that will keep you inside the box. You say to yourself ‘today I will make it’ and take proactive steps to prep up your finances. Get rid of the I will make it someday and start that business!

    Wealth is a choice

If you desire a particular lifestyle, you have the choice to decide whether you want to make it a reality or leave it in the pipeline. Unfortunately, most people have unintentionally taken the vow of poverty by allowing their business ideas to lay fallow. If you want to be wealthy, rehash your ideas, and take necessary action to achieve them.

    Money is Good

Anyone that tells you that money is ‘evil’, run away from such a person. Money is good. These individuals have the erroneous believe that wealthy people are bad. Money is good if you strife towards making it ‘legally’. How do you make money? Innovate novel ideas, invest time and money and before the tap of your fingers, you are financially secured.
