    The education industry is one of the many enjoying technology solutions. From making learning easy for students, to assisting schools in their processes and connecting teachers with job opportunities, tons of startups are springing up with unique offerings aimed at transforming the quality of education in Nigeria. 

    Here are 5 of such EdTech startups:

    EduRecords

    EduRecords engage schools with free solar electricity, internet, automated attendance tracking devices that monitors both student and teacher inflow and outflow to school and classes.

    With an algorithm that uniquely identifies each student and creates personal learning guides, EduRecords tracks registration and attendance, provides real time/insightful reports including projections, learning path and suggestions on how best a child’s academic performance could be improved.

    Scholarx

    ScholarX is a social impact startup designed to help to help young Africans access quality education through Scholarships and Crowdfunding.

    Through the ScholarX app, available in free and premium versions, users can select parameters and scroll through lists of available scholarships that match their requirements. Scholarship opportunites are available to students in undergraduate, masters and PhD level.

    ScholarX’ crowdfunding platform, Village is an education crowdfunding platform that allows African secondary school and university students students to create fundraising campaigns for their education.

    Passs.ng

    The platform was developed out of the need to build an examination testing and learning environment for students that are preparing for major examinations.

    Pass.ng helps students towards their examinations by assessing them through a series of mock tests while also proffering solutions to the questions. Students also get to track their progress and compare their scores with peers as they prepare for the examination on the platform.

    PrepClass

    Prepclass is an academic solutions provider offering students customized learning programs, including in-home tutoring and online test prep.

    The platform has a huge plethora of past question material that allows students practice online and understand theie areas of strength and weaknesses. Also parents that want a more personalized experience for their kids can also request for a personal Prepclass tutor from the platform’s huge database of more than 5000 tutors in Lagos/Abuja.

    Tuteria

    Tuteria is an online platform that connects people seeking to learn anything with those who live around them, and can teach them what they want to learn.

    From improving academic performance for kids and adults, to excelling at various local, international and professional exams and even mastering skills like Public Speaking, Photography, Music and more, Tuteria helps you connect with qualified private tutors, instructors, coaches and mentors in your community.

    Aimed at redefining education and learning in Nigeria, ProTeach connects expert tutors to learners and offers a personalised and friendly private home tutoring service within Nigeria.
