Over the past couple of years, only just a few TV series stood out with very interesting story lines – yet I can’t still think of any of the currently running ones that are as addictive as Prison Break, 24, and Spartacus. But going by the trailers of the soon-to-premiere TV series that I’ve seen so far, the good days of binge watching TV shows may be fast approaching.
Here are 5 of the very cool TV Series that I am so much looking forward to seeing.
Number One – Designated Survivor
If you are a big fan of Jack Bauer played by Keifer Sutherland (who doesn’t), then this is definitely our movie. My interest got peaked when I discovered that they are pairing Sutherland a favorite actress I loved in Californication. The story line for Designated Survivor is quite unique because it is an eye opener into what could happen when unforeseen circumstances arise.
In the United States, a designated survivor is an individual in the presidential line of succession, usually a member of the United States Cabinet, who is arranged to be at a physically distant, secure, and undisclosed location when the President and the country’s other top leaders (e.g., Vice President and Cabinet members) are gathered at a single location, such as during State of the Union addresses and presidential inaugurations. This is intended to maintain continuity of government in the event of a catastrophic occurrence which kills many officials in the presidential line of succession. Were such an event to occur, killing both the President and Vice President, the surviving official highest in the line, possibly the designated survivor, would become the Acting President of the United States under the Presidential Succession Act.

24: Legacy
I’m also looking forward to how 24: Legacy will fair without Jack Bauer (Keifer Sutherland) who, interestingly, served as producer and executive producer on this attempt to bring together a new group of actors to continue the legacy of 24 as we’ve grown to love it. So, If you are a big fan of 24 and the CTU, you should strive not to get too attached to the previous characters since none of them, at least for now, is returning. But the trailer is also quite action-packed. Check it out below.
Prison Break
Yup, you read that right, Prison Break is coming back with the major casts returning. Yea, you guessed right, Michael Scofield is alive and he and his brother with other members of the league will be breaking out of another prison – this time in the Middle East.
Lethal Weapon
This is also one of my favourites that I’m looking forward to since it has all the guns, cops and comedy. Check the trailer out below.
Kevin Can Wait
I love me some comedy and this shouldn’t come as a surprise since there are many things around to make one to be unhappy. A good comedy with Kevin James would be a nice way to relax. The show looks quite promising.
