5 Hidden Google Search Tricks You’ll Want to Show All Your Friends (Gravity, Barrel Rolls & More!)

We often use Google Search to conduct research and find information such as facts, statistics, definitions, dates, and more. Our goal is always to learn something new. In this article, I will share five fun facts or tricks about Google that you may not have known existed.

    Google Gravity

Open your browser, Go to Google and search for “Google Gravity”. Type “Google Gravity” (without the quotes) into the Google search bar and press Enter.

Click on the top result, and watch as the Google logo and search results tumble and bounce! If this doesn’t work, it may be because you’re using a smartphone. In that case, go back, search for the term again, click on the first result, and tap on any empty space to see everything fall down.

      It’s interesting, isn’t it? Let’s try a second trick!

      Drop a Bear

Search for “Drop a Bear” and look for the bear icon in the results (see Image by the side). Click on it and watch what happens. The first time I tried this, I couldn’t help but repeat it over and over again as I watched the virtual bear drop. Next!

      Google Sphere

This trick is similar to “Google Gravity.” Type “Google Sphere” (without the quotes) into the search bar and press Enter. Click on the top result, and observe as the Google logo and search results rotate, attempting to form a sphere!

      Do a Barrel Roll

I’m certain you will do this more than once. Type “Do a Barrel Roll” into your search bar and hit Enter. Watch as the entire screen performs a delightful rotation before returning to normal. It’s a playful Easter egg that’s sure to bring a smile to your face!

      Askew

Search for the word “askew.” Carefully observe what happens; your screen will tilt to the right.

      Conclusion

You might be wondering where all this is from and why it’s showing up on Google Search. This is just a visual trick utilising JavaScript designed to enhance your browsing experience. For a moment, it creates an illusion that adds a playful element to the search results, but it won’t change anything about Google itself or its functionality.

This kind of interactive display showcases the creative possibilities of web development and how simple code can transform a familiar environment into something fun and engaging. Hope you had fun exploring! Which of these five options did you enjoy the most? Your feedback would be great to hear!
