Nigeria-focused tech startup investment fund, 440ng, has announced that it made an investment into DavtonLearn, an online video learning platform for professional certifications. Founded by Tobi Obasa, DavtonLearn started 2009 as an offline training company and has since evolved to become a leading provider of professional certification courses. It will launch DavtonLearn in October 2015.
Tobi, Founder of DavtonLearn said, “It’s great to receive 440’s investment, because it will help scale Davtonlearn faster. 440 is a unique partner because apart from their investment we get extensive mentoring and contacts which are equally as important to us.”
“The education market in Nigeria is large and DavtonLearn will tap into the aspirational nature of Nigeria’s labour market participants who are keen to differentiate themselves in a fast growing market. ” says 88mph founder Kresten Buch and Co-Founder of 440.
