Uche Ajene, marketing manager for Nigeria’s latest classifieds platform Efritin.com has revealed the platform recorded 30,000 sellers within two months.
Revealing this feat, Ajene said Efritin has made safety a top priority in the Nigerian online marketplace space.
“We have established our unique verification process to guarantee that sellers on the platform are properly identified in order to decrease the risk of fraudulent transactions on the platform.”
Ajene said, “We are pleased with the number of verifications completed in the 2 months since we launched.We are committed to providing a hassle free experience for our users and safety remains our top priority.We will also continue to ensure that our verification process remains authentic and reliable.”
Describing Efritin.com’s verification process as the first of its kind for Nigerian online marketplaces, he said verification is a mandatory procedure where all sellers on the platform must be verified during an in person meeting and their identity is confirmed through a government issued means of identification.
“Efritin.com’s verification is a one-time process and all new sellers are contacted within 48 hours of posting an ad to set up a verification appointment and the seller’s adverts do not go live until the verification process is completed.”
