The inaugural edition of the Nigerian Technology Innovations Exhibitions and Awards (NITIEXA) is scheduled to take place from 6th – 7th December, 2018 at the Shehu Musa Yaradua Center, Abuja.
The Nigerian Technology Innovations Exhibitions and Awards (NITIEXA) is an initiative of the Young Innovators of Nigeria (YIN). YIN is a social organization with the mandate to bridge the skills and entrepreneurial gap among Nigerian youths.
The theme for this inaugural edition is “The Role of Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) for the Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals” and it aims to set a clearer agenda towards the practical actualization of Goals 1, 2, 5, 8 & 17 of the sustainable development goals leveraging on technology applications in the development of affected sectors, a catalyst to achieve the current administration’s diversification program and also create digital and technology jobs for the current generation.
NTIEXA 2018 also aims to bring key players of the Nigerian Innovation Ecosystem together to share experiences, identify challenges and propose strategies for using technology-enabled Innovation and entrepreneurship to diversify the economy and create digital jobs in the country. It will also provide a veritable platform for investors and stakeholders in the technology ecosystem to explore other sectors in the economy where technology can be applied for development.
